LTO Car Registration Renewal (rehistro) insurance, car plate sticker, requirements and how to apply

Apart from the service of the Land Transportation Office for driver's license renewal, another most-sought after service is the renewal of car registration or what drivers call "rehistro ng sasakyan". This is a yearly event that car and motor vehicle owners will have to go through in order to get car plate registration stickers. This enables the LTO to distinguish which cars running in the streets have updated and renewed car registration.

New Non-Professional Driver's License Fees

Here are the LTO NEW NON-PROFESSIONAL DRIVER’S LICENSE FEEs / CHARGES (Non-Pro) as set by the Land Transportation Office in the Philippines for local Filipino applicants. Please note that this fee does not include drug testing, eye check up and vehicle driving / testing fees for actual drive test.

LTO Vehicle Registration for August 2009

Land Transportation Office (LTO) reminders had it posed that this August 2009, the registration of vehicles with plate numbers ending in "8" must register their motor vehicle this August 2009.

LTO: Registration: New Motor Vehicle Registration

LTO Registration: Locally Assembled Motor Vehicles

Please note that the LTO registration procedure below may only be effective for all new motor vehicle registration. Requirements for the said registration differ from the other types of vehicles such as PUV or public utility vehicle. Please be guided accordingly and any misinformation, please don't hesitate to reach us via our comments section below.

Procedure of Registration:

1. Proceed to the transaction counters and submit all the required documents to the Evaluator for evaluation and computation of fees.

2. Actual inspection of motor vehicles with duly accomplished MVIR. (This form is available for download here. You can accomplish this form prior to transacting your business at the LTO.)

3. Proceed to the Cashier when your name is called for the necessary fees and obtain an Official Receipt (OR).

4. Proceed to the Releasing Counter when your name is called to obtain the Certificate of Registration (CR), plates, stickers, and other requested documents.
