How To Report Violating and Abusive Traffic Enforcers

According to the official website of the MMDA, you should report any traffic enforcers violating your rights or any of the traffic violation rules being implemented to commuters in Philippine streets. We have listed a guide that came direct from the MMDA site below.

The Traffic Enforcer should exercise extra diligence in verifying the veracity of the data or documents presented.

If you encounter any Traffic Enforcer violating any of these, get the name of the Traffic Enforcer indicated on his/her name plate, and submit a letter of complaint addressed to the Traffic Adjudication Board (TAB), MMDA Bldg. EDSA cor. Orense St. Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City, within 5 days after the apprehension.

In case you are involved in an argument with a Traffic Enforcer, call the MMDA Hotline 136, or the Metrobase at 0917-561-8711. Ask the Metrobase to send inspectors to go to the place where the argument is taking place for proper investigation.

You may also e-mail complaints against erring Traffic Enforcers to the MMDA thru email@mmda.gov.ph. Include full details of the incident (attach photos or videos if possible), so that they will be able to act promptly on the matter.

We will be posting here on our website soon, the complete list of number coding scheme information all over Metro Manila so be sure to visit regularly for updates.

Yesterday, there was an operation under Magallanes bridge about smoke belching. The officers of the said operation only chooses vehicles that are diesel based. Our vehicle is a 2011 model, and is used very seldom. I'm an OFW worker so i'm only using my vehicle when i am in the Philippines. What i'm trying to say is, i might not be violating any violations since the car is still new, they said, the car should be tested and remove our plate number. they also said that the car should get cleaned, the muffler and i should pay the fine of P1,000.00. I asked them, "I only have a 1 month vacation so if it is okay, can i pay the fine here just not to get my plate confiscated." they said, and they said its okay. When i am about to pay the fine, an officer came to us and asked us for an additional fee of P300.00 for a total of P1,300.00. I paid the fine for the reason that, I am an ofw worker and my vacation is only for 1 month, if they are gonna confiscate it, it'll cost me both my money and my time. I am trying to get their names but they do not wear their name plates
the said operation was random, but they are only choosing those diesel based vehicles. I'm very very disappointed on the said operation, they are wearing a blue polo and a few of them are only wearing slippers, hope to get this issue resolved and stop this corruption!
